As of July 21, 2014, the Southampton Housing Authority Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Waiting List is closed until further notice. NO Applications postmarked later than July 21, 2014 will be accepted.
TOWN OF ISLIP ANNOUNCES VOUCHER WAITLIST OPENING
The Town of Islip Housing Authority is accepting applications for the Section 8 Voucher Program, the RAD Section 8 Project Based Voucher Program (Elderly & Family), and the Section 8 Project Based Voucher Program at Southwind Village (Elderly & Family) Program from Wednesday, February 22, 2017 , through Friday, March 24, 2017, at which time the waiting lists will close.
You may obtain applications on line by visiting www.isliphousing.org. Applications are also available by mailing a self-addressed, postage paid envelope to PO Box 442, Oakdale, NY 11769 ONLY all others will be returned, or by calling 631-589-7100 and pressing 6 for instructions where to pick up an application. Applications without a valid postmark corresponding to the advertised dates will not be accepted. Equal Opportunity Housing. Multiple applications sent for the same head of household will be drawn in the lottery and placed on the waiting list using the latest date selected if multiple envelopes for the same head of household are submitted.

 The Town of Southampton, with its agent, the Town of Southampton Housing Authority (TSHA), is establishing a first come, first serve wait list of households interested in purchasing or renting attainable housing opportunities within the Town of Southampton as they may become available. The options include both senior age restricted units and non-age restricted units. All units have income restrictions.
Applicant(s) must meet all program eligibility requirements for the specific program, including qualifying for a mortgage, if applicable. Prices and rents are capped by the Town of Southampton.
The Town of Southampton and TSHA complies will all Fair Housing laws and requirements.
